Their arrival marked the beginning of the liberation of the region. In the autumn of 1944, fierce fighting took place in the triangular area between Grave, Groesbeek and Nijmegen.<\/p>\n<p>With the Triangle of Tribute project, we are marking \u2014 quite literally \u2014 the names of 82 soldiers at the locations where they lost their lives. They represent all the soldiers who fell in the fight for our freedom.
